Aria Orchestrator Standalone is now manageable via LCM 8.12.
Until now, you could not install or import a standalone Aria Automation Orchestrator that was registered with vSphere vCenter.
Now you can install and import Orchestrators that are vSphere registered. Why is this such a big deal?
Orchestrator is a VMware Automation platform that enables you to Automate everything you need.
The important point that most people don't know about is that Orchestrator is Licenced with vCenter. So if you own vCenter, you also can use Orchestrator.
Orchestrator comes with a multitude of pre-designed workflows that can be used like Lego pieces to build automation workflows.
These workflows can be used/triggered in multiple ways:
You can use the Orchestrator UI to run them
You can use the vCOIN plugin and start then via a right-click from Center
You can have other software (e.g. BMC, ServiceNow etc.) start them via REST
Orchestrators allow you to interact with any kind of system. For example, you can:
Connect to any VMware product, such as vCenter, NSX, Horizon, vCloud Director, Aria Operations etc.
Manage your AD via LDAPs
Execute PowerShell scripts.
Connect to VMs via SSH.
Connect to other systems via REST (e.g. Infoblox)
Send or receive emails
Use SNNP to trigger events
Attach to AMQP such as RabbitMQ
Interact with an SQL server
And lots more
There is a large community out there that provides extra workflow and capabilities.
